Many of you out there are probably looking to hear some things that go on over the weekend at Western New England College. The answer: there are a lot of things to do. Last Friday night, I went to an event hosted by Residence Hall Association (RHA) in the Campus Center from 9-11. RHA was able to book an acoustic cover band, The Mediums, to come and play for anyone that showed up. About 50 people came to the event to sing along, hang out with friends, and relax after the second week of school. They played classics from “Sweet Caroline” for the Red Sox fans to “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” for everyone to join in unison. Kids got up from their seats to dance with others, or even to join the two member cover band in playing the piano or the drums. People who did not know each other were starting to talk and form a new friendship. Needless to say it was a fantastic night. This just proves that there are many different things to do on campus, such as going to a concert, to form even more friendships here at school.
Keep looking for those letters from WNEC!
